Sidney Sanders Kimble

I started the nursing program at ISU right out of high school and graduated in 1970. My parents had moved to Ogden, so I took, the boards in Salt Lake and started my first job at McKay Dee Hospital in the NICU. I moved to San Francisco in 1971 where I worked in the NICU at Kaiser Permanente Hospital for 2 1/2 years. Had great roommates and lots of fun in THE CITY. Moved back to SLC where I worked NICU and transport via fixed wing plane for 2 1/2 years at University of Utah Medical Center. When John and I married, he joined the Coast Guard and we were stationed in San Francisco for six years of active duty, then moved back to SLC where he continued in the Coast Guard Reserve. We had our three children during the San Francisco time. Upon moving back to Salt Lake, I started working at Bryner Clinic Pediatrics. It was great working for your own Pediatrician. I stayed with them and with their move to Salt Lake Clinic where I retired in 2014. I had my first baby two months before turning 30, and my children are not getting married until in their 30's, so we are expecting our first grandchild this spring (a girl)!! We are only a generation behind!!

I will never forget Annual Day 1966 when many of us were at the "beach" and were raided by Pocatello's finest! Seniors running everywhere!
