Yes. She is looking like she was definitely worth the wait! The unfortunate part is that the wedding date is June 20th. I say we all crash the reception.

This cite has been very funny! Good job Janet and associates! Someone was talking about Spanish class memories. Here are mine: Spanish 1 I did good.
Spanish 2 verbs, not good!
Spanish 3 I can't remember my grades that year. I do remember being grouped with Carl and I think Lance for Mrs. Bates seating chart. Carl spent the whole class asking me wierd questions about my love life and mumbeling something about "The Spanish Inquisition". I did not understand most of what he was saying :) Note to Troy Brown: my sister Christie said I could tell you she was also kicked out of Spanish to the office. She called Mrs. Bates... that famous name... She told Mr. Brooks it was an accident!!

Only kicked out of the Master's class once...that's not even worth an honorable mention...I remember walking through the door of her class room my Sophomore year...before entering she stopped me and said I could pull my desk into the hall because she wasn't in the mood to deal with me (ME?)...I complied...Grumpy was walking down the hall and saw me...started jumping my @!! and asked what I did this time...I told him the story..(you may not believe this but it is one of my fondest memories of high school)Grumpy then asked the Master to step out and asked her what I did...she started on about what I did in the past...he stopped her and asked today...she said nothing...in front of me he jumped her @$% and said students were in school to learn in class rooms and not be punished for things because the teachers did not feel like doing their job...AWSOME! Grumpy was my hero from that day on! He never made me run extra in practice again and the Master never gave me another detention...althought I did eventually get permantly kicked out of her class...another story all together! The over all champion had to be Carl though!

Amy. Thanks for reminding us all of Carl's obsession with the words, "Spanish Inquisition." Good lord.
I swear he said that phrase at least 3 times a class.
I only passed Spanish III because I made empanadas every week for extra credit, and the only phrase I've retained is,"Quita te ropa, por favor," which means, take off your clothes please. It has come in quite handy over the years. Not. Steve didn't make it past Spanish I.

"Manos aribas" has really aided my career and "Una mas cervesa por favor" has made life much more enjoyable..."que paso la chica" has got me slapped a couple of times...Wow the Master still has a lasting effect on me!

My other memory about Carl is that I had too much caffine at afterprom at Nash and his Mom tried to pull an intervention on me... she thought I was on drugs!! She was a chaperone. Those of you who knew me know that ridiculous doesn't even cover it. Tamra was there, she can attest to my soberness, hyperness, but soberness. Funny what we remember huh?

I just want to let everyone know that I tried to make peace with Maestra Bates at the gas station in Polo a few years back. I saw her and let her know that I actually learned spanish from her, and apologized for all the grief I had given her during class. She said something about Chingada Madre and told me that the kids are much worse these days. Then she asked how I could be shuch a jerk. I said, "Hey I'm just trying to let you know that I'm sorry. I didn't expect the %$#@!ing Spanish Inquisition!"
