Walter "Pat" Stewart, 64, of Tellico Plains, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

A son of the late John and Sue Crye Stewart, he was a native of Etowah, and a resident of Monroe County for 23 years. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force with 24 years of service. He attended Starr Mountain Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Susie Stewart; and one grandchild, Loren Stewart.

Survivors include his wife, Mardivite Lanoy Stewart of Tellico Plains; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Stewart of Clinton; two granddaughters, Sarah and Heather Stewart; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home with Minister Pat Wilson officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Conasauga Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Conasauga Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20th for the committal service.
