I have been fortunate to have been able to take several trips. I have been to Ireland, Scotland and England, Mexico and China. China was a very unique and fun experience.
I earned my PHR certification in Human Resources in May 2007! That was a big accomplishment for me.
10/14/08 I enjoyed the pictures of the reunion and sorry I wasn't there to see everyone.
I also adopted a cat, Tigerlilly, from my sister Ruth. She has lived with me for 6 years and has been through moves and is hours of entertainment.
JANUARY 2021
Can't believe so much time has passed. I retired from my HR job in July 2016. I was at the same company for 20 years. What a change from driving over an hour a day and working 8-10 hours a day.
Until the pandemic, I was a volunteer tutor at College of Dupage for the GED program. It was fun and fulfilling and want to go back to it as soon as the pandemic relaxes.
Walking has also become a major activity since the gyms don't feel safe yet. I can't believe the number of people out walking and riding bikes.
In September, I adopted a cat from the Hinsdale Humane Society. Mr. Dobbs is a ten pound ball of fun and a great lap cat.
I have been to Cancun and the Rivera Maya many times and enjoy the friendly people in the area. Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled last year and we hope to go this year.
My sisters, Kathy, Barb and Ruth and got together several times this summer. Barb's husband died last February and she moved about a block away from Kathy. We spent time helping her move, clean and paint.
