In 1997, I attended and graduated from Master's Commission. Master's is a 1 year program that allows you to grow in your relationship with the Lord. I was searching! I wanted more out of life. I new there had to been more to life than what I was living. I didn't just want a 9 to 5 job. I often asked myself, Why was I created? What was my purpose. After Master's I became a Children's Pastor and married the Youth Pastor at the church. So we became Children's / Youth Pastors. That was cool! In 1999, We attended and graduated Bible college in Phoenix, Az. It was awesome attending bible college with my husband. It was so much fun. We have 3 amazing son in which I homeschool 2 of them. I love it. I have been on an amazing journey.
Although, It hasn't always been easy, But it draws me closer to the Lord like never before. I'm nothing without Him. God didn't say life would be easy, but that He will carry us through it (Read, "footprints in the sand" if you need encouragment). About 3 years ago, I lost my best friend in the world, My mom. She went to be with the Lord at the age of 49. I felt cheated and I was done with everything. I felt that God had let me down. I didn't know how to get back up or if I would ever tell anyone about the Lord again. I didn't understand why she died, and I still don't understand. I probably never will. It was a very hard season for me. But do you know what? She is in heaven, and that is why we all were created, in His image, to worship God. So that we can end up in Heaven with Him because He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins. Jesus loves Us, you and me and everyone very much. I love Him more now than I had ever did before. I know I will see her again.
Now, my husband and I are Children's Pastor's in Lafayette, La. And we love doing what we are doing! I found my purpose in life. What is your purpose in Life? I challenge you to find it. It doesn't have to be in Ministry. Everyone was created to do something different. Make a difference in this world. It doesn't have to be something big, it can be small.
I may or may not make it to the reunion, so I want to leave you with one note: LIVE YOUR LIFE IN SUCH A WAY. BUT DON'T DISAPPOINT ME ON THAT DAY, BE THERE, I WILL BE LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOU IN HEAVEN! LOVE YA! -- VALERIE AMEJORADO ZACHARIAS
