I can't help but feel like there are a whole lot of eyes watching, but the only way to start a dialogue is to just jump in and say hello. Riveting, I know.:)

I'm hearing through the grapevine that there is some sort of picnic coming up on August 8th. Does anyone know the time or location of the event. I've missed the last two because of other obligations, and would really enjoy participating in this one. The older I get the more I miss my friends from school.

Would love to hear from you all, and catch up a bit.

Jan

I discovered this site a few weeks ago when I googled myself and am happy to see it's doubled since then. I wasn't involved in any school activities and therefore don't have many memories outside of the smokeshack. My oldest friend (since kindergarten) was Kenny Beam and he died in July 1988 in a motorcycle accident.Kenny's birthday is June 28th if anyone wants to send him a thought, maybe he will feel it? Now I see that Trudi Phipps died this year, we were good friends in junior high. Does anyone know what happened to her? Change of subject. I'm typing this on a Blackberry and can't seem to break it into paragraphs. Topic: reunion-I went to the 15 or 20 year but haven't heard of one since. Tis almost 2:00 am, guess I'll go now. Jan,you don't live too far from me

This is the third time I've tried to post a response, maybe it will work this time. I discovered this site a few weeks ago when I googled myself. It's doubled since then. Hooray! Even though I don't remember very many people or any events I like to think that we're all old enough to put cliques aside and just be classmates.Third times a charm, we'll see. Kay

Ohhhh, I see my second attempt did work. You can disregard my last message, this one too if you would like. But now that the ice is broken let's hear from more of you out there.

Kay, I am so glad to see you on here. I appreciate what you put on here about Kenny. I had been trying to find out exact info in regards to what year he had passed away. Mike Hoskins had given me some information. I did not know meet Kenny unitl I cam to PV when I was a 5th grader but knew him all the years after. He was so sweat and never unkind to anyone that I can recall. I can remember going up to Sharon Reeds house and seeing him riding his motorbikes many many years ago. I will send some love onto him even if it is a day late. I was saddened to see about Trudi Phipps another person we grew up with. Very sad.

I am happy to see you here Kay and hope in future we will get to see each other it has been way to many years.

Much Luv, Kisses, and Hugs to all as we all need them.

Ciao, Patti (Schooley) Marceaux

Ms, Jan :-) Thank you for jumping in and taking the plunge. I so hope this takes off and more people will hear, learn, or see the site and join.

The heat is off and you can relax since you took the first jump.

Yes there will be a 3rd Annual BBQ/Picnic. We, as in Wendy Blake, Julie Pulk, moi LOL are just fine tunning important details. It will be the 8th of August out at Long Lake at Ricky Anderson's parents's property. We always do Potluck and assign certain foods by last name and then if anyone wants to bring extra dishes or something they make that is special BRING IT ON!!!!.

You will see more very shortly on this and most likely it will be in the Class Events Tab on the left hand side of the site.

Thank you so much for being on board with this site.

Ciao,
Patti

Patti,

Thanks for the information on the upcoming picnic. Can't wait to see some folks from the old school days. Will watch for more details to come.

You're a doll, and thanks again, Jan

P.s. Did Trudi Phipps graduate with our class, or do I remember her attending a different H.S.?

My memory is shot. Yikes.

Hello to Kay.

Wow, I sure wish I was able to make it to this picnic!! I spent a lot of time out on Long Lake growing up. We used to go out to Pete & Paul Arrants place where the older siblings would water-ski and us younger kids would play on their dock. Rick Anderson was always a good friend; I would love to be there. Seems to me I spent a lot of time out at the smoke shack… even tho I didn’t smoke.

Patti, thanks again for putting this site together…. It’s great!

Is there anybody out there? I'm interested in the picnic, but I need more details. August 8th is also my anniversary but I would like to come for a little while at least.

Hi Kay! (and anyone else reading this!)
Julie, here..."one" of the 3 "MOUSE-keteers", helping putting this year's Annual together! :) -First off, Happy Pre-Anniversary! :)
We want to get this "shindig" :), started, promptly @ 3 p.m., as, in the past, we have found that there are lots of "summer" things going on, and other previous commitments made. As part of our Annual get-togethers, we have invited and welcomed, the "talent" of our classmates/friends, and will start the "show" @ 5. My daughter and I have hula danced, and Mick Terry has played guitar and sangs songs.-And I know @ one "phone update" with Wendy, she was still checking to see if Mark Lewis can play a little jazz for us, before "his" Saturday evening gig in Bremerton.-I have been to a couple of Bluegrass gigs of Roger Ferguson's.-I don't know what his shedule is like, but it would be awesome to have ALL of this to share! :)
Keep checking this website for updates.-AND THANK YOU AGAIN, PATTI, FOR "MAKING" THIS WEBSITE!!!!

The picnic sounds like fun. I remember Mick performed (I think) 'Nights in White Satin' at an assembly or talent show, it might have even been at Cedar Hts. Anyway, I was blown away at his talent, and being unfamiliar with the song at the time, I thought it was one he wrote. I had planned on trying to be there the 8th, but we are going camping to our favorite huckleberry fields near Mt. Adams. Hope you all have a great time. Even though I have very miniscule memories of some of you, we were all forged by the same High School and therefore must have some things in common. I was looking forward to finding out what those things might be. Maybe next year.

Looks like we're going to have a pretty good turnout at the barbeque despite the ominous weather forecast.

I am a little nervous about not remembering names to go with faces, so please be patient with me while I dust the cobwebs off my memory! Kay...I'll be the one with the puzzled look on my face.:)

We are going to be a little late getting there because of a prior committment, (like someone said, lots going on during the summer months) so try to drag your feet so we don't miss too much!

It's great to see more classmates joining in on this site. Again...great job Patti.

See you all tomorrow, Jan

Vicki Johns (Tabert)

Hi all - Vicki Tabert (Johns) here.
It's really nice to have the site to keep in touch with everyone. I'd forgotten all about it and just happened to see the picnic info. in the newspaper a few days prior to the event. I'd already had plans out of town. Hopefullly next year. I don't see too many from our class around these days. :-( Life is okay these days. Sadly, nothing too exciting to report however. Still slaving away at the ole Clerk's Office. In my 26th year now.OMG! Gotta run but it's good to hear from foks.

Hi! Friends,

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. Thanksgiving with family and friends...nothing like it! Christmas evokes gratefulness, and a sense of peace that often eludes us the rest of the year. Let's try to capture the spirit of the holidays and what it truly represents. A Savior that was born, that we might live. How sweet is that. Jan

Thanks Patti for putting this up. I would really like to come back for one of those summer flings but being across country presents issues. Im hoping that once my kids leave the house I shall have much more time to travel but that hasn't quite happened yet although my daughter is planning on moving to Seattle (shocker) in April. If anyone knows a good employer for a film major, I would certainly appreciate it!

Patti,

There's no place for me to RSVP on the BBQ/Picnic event page.  Should I be looking somewhere else?  Thanks a bunch, Jan
