Rocky Rushing of Port Orchard

Rocky L. Rushing, 50, of Port Orchard died in Bremerton on May 11, 2008. He was born September 5, 1957, in Bremerton to Jack and Betty (Buckendorf) Rushing. He graduated from South Kitsap HS in 1976 and married Judy L. Nixon on May 24, 1986, in Port Orchard.

Rocky owned his own business for more than 23 years as a Septic/Sanitation Technician in Port Orchard. In later years, he worked for Northwest Cascade. He loved bowling, camping, fishing and casino visits. He traveled to many places, from Hawaii to Wisconsin.

Surviving are wife, Judy; son, Brian Wilson of Port Orchard; daughters, Melissa (Jon) Valcourt of San Jacinto, CA, and Sheila (Rick) Mengel of Kenosha, WI; brothers, Jack (Sherry), Gary and Dick Rushing, all of Port Orchard; sisters, Becky (Ken) Blinn and Shirley (Frank Thompson) Dufresne; and grandchildren, Cody, Chase and Casey Mengel, Bryce Wilson, Katlyn, Danica, Miranda and Jonathan Valcourt. He was preceded in death by sister, Colleene Larson.
