Life is grand. My life long dream of becoming a career firefighter was accomplished. I was hired in 1999 by the City of Kalamazoo, but because of budget cuts, I left there for our home town City of Portage in 2001. In 2008, I was promoted to Captain and work at he busiest station in the city (station 1). I am married to a wonderful lady (Susan) who is a RN at Bronson Hospital. We have two children Austin 16 and Brady 6. Brady looks exactly like me, so I knew it was time to quit having kids. We enjoy traveling all over and going out on our boat. Every winter we go someone in the Caribbean, but Jamaica has been our favorite.
