School Story:
Lets see what do I remember . . . I have alot from Miss Vicoys 2nd grade . . . the dreaded ruler, the philippine dance thing with the two bamboo poles, squatting in the corner of the room with dictionaries (of course I never had to cause I was always so good, or at least never got caught)
Third grade . . . brushing Mrs. Elliotts hair while she read to us, different colored reading groups, always got so nervous when I had to read out loud.
Other memories . . . sniffing rubber cement, hyper ventilating on purpose on the playground (how dumb!!)
Weiner wrap Tuesdays, Pizza Thursdays, Sloppy Joe Wednesdays , working in the kitchen.
And those lovely recesses . . . I remember different fads . . chinese jumprope, double dutch jump rope, four square, kick ball, and playing jacks at indoor recess.
And poor old Sr. Cecelia . .. I remember the boys teasing her and cawing like a crow , calling her an old crow . . . bless her heart . . what a job to have with all of us!!!
And finally . . . a church story . . Does anyone remember Father Zenner and his huge comb over!!
He would be saying mass, bend over to bless the bread and wine and a long piece of his hair would fall to the other side, it never failed.
