Jill Christin Hendricks Jewell

After having way too much fun and just skirting major trouble, I finally settled down when I met my husband(Gary) now of 16 yrs on a blind date to a hockey game set up by my best friend and sorority roommate in Oct 1990 while attending the University of Cincinnati. I have seen him everyday since! Moved off campus to Anderson area East of Cincy(I was lucky Gary already had a house). Gary played semi-pro football, B&C league hockey, indoor soccer, and golfed every week when I met him. My sports nut and I traveled from Chicago to C. Springs to St. Louis to the Panhandle(he was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base from 1983-1986) to of course watch sporting events! During a trip to Myrtle Beach at midnight on July 4th 1991 Gary proposed to me on the beach. He told me I would never know when it was coming - he was right - I was dressed in a Greek Week T-Shirt and Bengal boxer shorts! (Man, that's just about what my so called PJ's are now) We married 7/11/1992, I graduated w/my BSN in 1993 from UC, and we had our first child after a pregnancy from hell(bedrest from 24 wk to 34 wks) in Oct 1994. Busy years!!!
We moved to Charlotte NC May 1996 and LOVE IT HERE!!!! Second child born March 2001(pregnancy from hell again) - I work weekend nights at the hospital while Gary crunches numbers as an accountant during the week. Love working weekends - more money, no daycare, and my work week is over in two 12 hr shifts!!! As you can see from above our family is still very active in sports and very busy!! My adorable(sometimes annoying)children keep me young! My sports nut plays adult baseball, coaches youth baseball and soccer, and was recently in a musical for the Fort Mill SC Community Theater. Acting is his new hobby and he is going to try out his talent in improv with a group called the "Chuckleheads" - like "Whose Line Is It" To make our lives even crazier I am hoping to start my Master's this fall at Eastern Carolina. Hope everyone is having fun and I can't believe it's been 20 yrs!!!

Most memories are from band and the infamous "band trips" - Can't listen to Led Zeppelin without it bringing back memories of the band bus!
