Terry Poloni

PRICE-Terry Arco Poloni, age 64, passed away on May 7, 2024 in Price, Utah. Terry was born on April 14, 1960 to Harold Michael and Merlene Jowell Poloni in Price, Utah.

Terry was very family oriented. He was extremely proud of his sons and all his grandchildren. Terry always talked about his Italian heritage and family background.

He spent the majority of his life in Price, Utah. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1978 and went to work for Rocky Mountain Power, previously known as Utah Power & Light plant where he had several jobs during his employment and worked for several years before retiring. Terry always excelled in his career. Terry was married to Vonda Brock and they divorced later. He later moved to Phoenix, AZ where he attended UTI and achieved his HVAC degree. He loved doing repairs on heating and air conditioning units for people. He was such a giving person that he repaired a lot of HVAC units at no charge, so others could live comfortably. He spent his last several years enjoying his retirement and living life to the fullest.

Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved cooking Italian food and grilling outside. He always enjoyed muscle cars, Jeeps, and motorcycles. Any time there was a car show, you could bet that he was there with his sons or close friends. Terry also enjoyed going to the lake and relaxing.

Terry is survived by his siblings, T.H (Lynda) Poloni, Price, UT, Pam Gatherum, Pleasant Grove, UT; three sons, Justin (Elizabeth) Poloni, Mead, WA, Jeron Poloni, Richmond, KY, Kody (Brook) Poloni, Nancy, KY; nine grandchildren, Hayden Poloni, Gunner Poloni, Kolton Poloni, Myles Poloni, Max Poloni, Taylor Poloni, Weston Poloni, Willow Poloni, and Anakin Poloni; niece, Kara Poloni; nephews, Sean (Autumn) Spencer, Matt (Lori) Gatherum.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Merlene Poloni.

Memorial service, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price, Utah 84501), where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, interment, Price City Cemetery, Price, Utah. Tom Parsons

HELPER- Thomas Harold Parsons, age 63, passed away peacefully at his home on June 11, 2023, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He fought hard and did it his way right to the end, in Tom Parson fashion.

Tom was the son of Mary Callor and Douglas Edward Parsons. He spent his entire life at 31 Welby Street and was always so proud of his family home and heritage. Friends and family meant everything to him and he cultivated so many lasting relationships. Rarely did he end a conversation with those he cared about without telling them he loved them. If you know, you know.

He attended local schools and graduated from Carbon High School. After high school he worked in the coal mines as well as for many other local businesses. One of his earliest and most loved jobs was with Murray Center Texaco in Price, where he was treated like family always. Tom took pride in all of his endeavors and if he had a job to do, you did not want to get in his way. Tom loved his church, St. Anthony of Padua, and showed his true devotion through years of service and attendance. It was an utmost priority to him that his parish continue to thrive. He was instrumental in the success of the annual Catholic Carnival and the Spaghetti dinner, chairing these events for several years. His success with these ventures will be remembered by many. During Covid he faithfully sanitized the church twice a day for nearly two years to help his parish stay healthy.

Two of Tom’s dearest mentors and friends were Father Albert and Joe Bonacci, life was never quite the same after losing them but they had a huge impact on his life.

Tom’s main pastime was caring for his home, his German Shepherds, Raider, Seger and Bell, and his chevy trucks. He will always be remembered for the legendary black chevy that was his pride and joy. Tom enjoyed entering the local car shows and won many awards over the years. But what he loved most was the comradery and being with friends, including one of his closest, Tim Brady. He owned this truck for 44 years before his friend Dave Babcock took it over to carry on the legacy.

Anyone that knew Tom knew of his great love for wolves. His dream was to travel to Colorado to a wolf compound, be able to spend time in an enclosure with them and “get kissed on the face by a wolf.” He didn’t make it there, but maybe there’s one or two waiting at the gates for you Tom.

A huge thank you goes out to Symbii Home Health and Hospice; your great compassion and support were priceless and made it possible for Tom to do things his way. Thank you to the circle of friends who came forward, stepped up and showed us that good does still exist in the world. Lenny Pagano, your unconditional friendship and love will never be forgotten. Also, Brad Marston, Robert Dimick, Anna and Carl Jones, Dave Babcock, Tim Brady and Tom’s many fellow parishioners who reached out, there are no words. Tom was truly blessed and it was amazing to see the outpouring of love and concern.

Tom was preceded in death by his loving parents whom he has missed for such a long time.

A great reunion has happened in heaven as Tom’s mother, father, Joe Bonacci and Fr. Albert welcomed him home with open arms.

Scott was born December 31, 1959 in Price, UT to Dean Gardner and Helen Beth Waterman Robertson and passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 63. Scott was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and nephew. He was a quiet, loving person who showed love and patience to all. He was shy but full of life and love. He loved his family, dogs (Duncan and Andy), cars, and road racing. He was educated at Utah Trade Tech in auto mechanics and spent his career as a skilled auto mechanic. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints he served a 2-year mission in the Coventry, England mission, and his faith was always important to him. Prior to his mission, he worked with his brother, Robby in the coal mines. In recent years, Scott took up the hobby of home gardening to feel closer to his father, an excellent gardener. He worked diligently on any task put before him and quality of work was important to him, almost to a fault. Things had to be done right or not at all with Scott. Scott is survived by his best friend and brother, Mark Robertson, his siblings, brother Robby, and Sisters Rita, Michele and Helen, many nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Beth Robertson, Sisters Karen (Jeff) McKenzie, Nancy (Joseph) Morgan, grandparents, niece, Melanie (Cody) Bowen and a great nephew and two great nieces.

Vickie Lynn Wright, age 64, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Chimney Rock, Colorado on February 5, 2024.

Vickie was born on September 21, 1959, in Salt Lake City to Dale and Renae Thomas Wright. She was the oldest of four children. They moved to Price when Vickie was 12. This is where she met and married her high school sweetheart, James Birch. Together they had three children. They were later divorced, after which she met her partner, Mike Ruden. Together, Vickie and Mike had many adventures as they moved around the country from Florida to Colorado.

Vickie was an avid lover of the outdoors. She always said she was born a century too late. Her love for the outdoors was a way of life as she spent her childhood raising animals, in the Uintah Mountains, and at her grandparent’s ranch in Tabiona. The love for the outdoors never left Vickie. Every year she could be found camping and fishing in the Uintah Mountains, especially at Yellowstone River. During her time in the mountains, Vickie became an expert Dutch oven cook, cooking everything from chili to peach cobbler. She loved spending her birthdays in North Fork watching the fall leaves change colors and a fishing pole in hand.

When Vickie could not have a fishing pole in her hands, she had a crochet hook. She found a passion for crocheting beautiful doilies, baby dresses, blankets, and dolls. She could concentrate for hours counting stiches creating something beautiful out of long piece of string. Vickie’s talents did not end with crocheting. She was never beyond a challenge sitting behind her sewing machine making quilts and dresses.

Vickie was a homemaker for much of her adult life, raising her three kids, tending to her niece and nephew, and later to her grandchildren. She loved holidays, making them all magical. While Easter was her favorite holiday because she said it reminded her of her grandma. She always transformed her home into a haunted house or a Christmas village. Vickie never gave up on the ranch life, she turned her small piece of property into a funny farm. She had chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and sheep. Later she even raised a cow. She was a dedicated gardener, and never turned down an opportunity for a good book.

After her children were grown, Vickie found a passion for racing where she could be found sitting behind the wheel of her #42 race car. But no matter what, she never stopped loving the mountains. Vickie spent the last years of her life living, camping, and fishing in the Colorado Mountains with Mike and her favorite dog, Brutus, living the simple life she always dreamed about.

Vickie is survived by her parents, Renae and Dale Wright of Price Utah; partner, Mike, Chimney Rock CO; three children, Kimberly Birch of Price, Utah, Jeremy (Marna) Birch of Price, Utah, and Jennifer (Christopher) Scott of Wheatland, WY; four grandchildren, Alexander (Keara) Maxfield, Johnathan (Jacqulyn) Martinez, Khristina Martinez, and Brooklynn Martinez, all of Price; three great-granddaughters, Emma, Piper, and Lilith, and a fourth great-granddaughter on the way; sister, Pam Wright of Tridell, Utah; brothers, Travis (Rayla) Wright of Ogden, Utah, and Clay (Jenny) Wright, Redmond, OR; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Vickie will take place Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 11;00 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street, Price UT 84501) where the family will receive friends and family beginning at 10:00 .a.m. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery in Price, UT.
