After graduation, I went to Rider University and ultimately decided to pursue my passion for writing by switching from business and getting my degree in communications and journalism. By a happy set of circumstances, I landed an internship at Bloomberg as a sports writer and have never left.
Lived in Lawrenceville for several years before my wife Carrie and I bought a house in Hopewell. Right across the street from a big horse farm, its very similar in feel to many of the areas in which we grew up in West Windsor or Plainsboro. We now have three lovely little girls -- Hana, Maia and Sadie -- and I'm still at Bloomberg writing and editing in our sports department.
Yes, Bloomberg is primarily about business and its how Mayor Mike made his billions, but we do a little bit of everything and those Wall Street types, they like to read about sports and the sports business world! I've had the opportunity to cover just about everything, from a long weekend in Corvallis, Oregon, to write a feature about the growth of the Oregon State football program to an incredibly rewarding month-long trip to China for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. I've been fortunate enough to cover Super Bowls, World Series, Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, BCS championship games, Final Fours, the US Open tennis and golf's major tournaments here in the U.S., except for the Masters. As a golf nut, I'm still waiting to get down to Augusta for that one!
I'm the last one of my family still here in Mercer County; my parents and brother moved out to Monterey, California. I'm close with a number of Class of 89ers still in the area and am looking forward to catching up with everyone who will be headed back in late Summer of '09!
