Melissa was the cutes little thing. I went to school with her from Elementary all the way through. I remember in 5th grade... her brother was a boxer and if my memory serves me correctly, he was in a car accident just before a match and apparently had hit his head... he then went on to box and was further injured and went into a coma and later passed away. That was a very tough time for Melissa and her family. I am saddened that this family has lost two children and I always thought the world of Melissa.

Amy, you were right. Her brother Michael was killed just the way you remember. She was very close to him and struggled a lot with his death. She was a very sweet girl and we were very close in elementary school. I am saddened to say that we grew apart in junior high but she will also be remembered fondly and I always smile when I think of her.

I remember Melissa & her cousin Bill from kindergarten on up til her death. This one as with Lee Roberts hit home. I remember, as many from Knob elem. will too, my Dad (Parker) being the custodian & how we all were kinda like a family there (a disfunctional one sometimes). Good memories outweighed the bad. Sorry, getting a bit lonesome for the days when the world was a lot kinder & all our friends were still alive, well & able to annoy one another. Miss ya girl, you was like the sister I never had & always told it like it was. Thanks for being a friend & being honest one....even if it hurt a bit sometimes!
