Kent Michael VanWagenen 

1958 ~ 2010

Kent Michael VanWagenen was born July 11, 1958 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center to Jess and Marie Fillmore VanWagenen.

Kent attended Provo City schools and Utah Valley University where he studied building inspection. Kent worked for Centennial Middle School, BYU Housing, La Quinta Inn and Hotel and many homes as a construction and maintenance man.

He married Karin Hutchinson on Aug 6, 1977 and became parents of two sons (Wesley Kent and Adam Michael). Kent and Karin divorced in 1983. Kent later married Stacy Garner on July 1, 1996 and had one son (Alex) and one daughter (Amanda). Kent and Stacy divorced in 1998.

Kent was a member of the Edgemont 5th Ward. He is survived by his sons Wesley (Rebecca) of Temple, TX; Staff Sgt. Adam (Jessie) of Temple, TX; Xan of Provo, UT and daughter Amanda of Provo, UT; half brothers Ronald (Mandy) of Centennial, CO; Steven (Kaylene) of Springville, UT; a half sister Susan (Ken) Goodfellow of Park City, UT, and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Jess VanWagenen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2010 at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center. Friends May call at the mortuary Friday morning from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery. Condolences may be emailed to the family at info@bergmortuary.com.
