Please add a current photo of yourself and/or your family to your profile. Everyone says that the things they like most about the website are the photos. We want to see you.

Carolyn,

My parole   officer said I could come to  the reunion If I could find  a  law enforcement  professional to “reset” my house arrest  ankle bracelet  to show that I was there ?

Are there any policemen coming?

PS

did anyone think  to invite any teachers?

Carolyn Hales (Becker)

I will work on the police officer!  Dave Creer is in charge of the teachers!

I'd like to see the size of the ankle bracelet for Russell. I wouldn't want to be the guy bending over to strap it on. I'd likely be shot putted out the window.

I need to hear from anyone that is interested in playing golf with us on July 2nd, 7am at Sleepy Ridge in Orem.  We have room for about 30-35 more golfers.  The people that have signed up to play will be having a blast and we have food and prizes!  Call me 801-577-6287 or send me an email LynnTMerritt@hotmail.com please no comments on the originality of my email address.  We're hoping that Meldrum can play, but there was something about restricting metal objects at his parole hearing.

Maybe he is really afraid of getting the metal near his pacemaker!

Umm, hello? (tap tap) is this thing on? (tap tap) Anyway, looking forward to this summer, nice to catch up on (gulp) 30 years.  Shall we all wear pin-whale cords with an oxford shirt? Hair in a side ponytail or a perm?

Carolyn Hales (Becker)

I think a side pony would be nice!

Played a great round of golf with Dee Oldroyd and Dennis Christensen at Sleepy Ridge this week!  The course is a lot of fun (my first time playing there), but it was even better hanging out with Dee and Dennis and catching up on the last 30 years.  Look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and golf tournament.  Not too late to sign up for golf, if you don't want to play send your significant other so that we can hear stories about you!  Look forward to seeing everyone in July.

O.K., this is a question for all you guys out there who hated school, barely made it, but ended up making it in the "outside world."  Tell me your success/failure stories so I can pass it on to my son, for whom school is he**!!  Sheesh!  I've come to the conclusion that school is not designed for boys!  Give me some hope that I can pass on to my boy. . .

thanx, lib  :)

Hey Matt,

Thanks for posting pictures of the Rock.  Just letting everyone know that the "Rocks" alter ego will be attending the reunion.  At home we call him the "Marshmellow" (Lynn Merritt) for his body type and personality.  Just didn't want anyone to get their hopes up.

Thanks for a great reunion.  It was great to see old faces, although most don't seem to have changed much at all.  Thanks to the committee for putting it together.

Now for those who didn't make it, you have 10 years to plan ahead and plan around other plans, right Matt?

The Timpview class of 1980 impresses me.  Collectively, the class has accomplished much.  We have Doctors, Lawyers, Business Professionals, Professors, Teachers, Military Officers, Homemakers, Scientists, etc.  We are making a positive mark in society.! I am proud to be part of the class.

Thanks to Carolyn, Matt and others for their efforts to provide a nice experience last weekend. I appreciated it.

Let's keep making a difference!

Steve

I just wanna' say........ You Guys are Awesome!!!!!! I'm sorry I missed out on all the fun and general craziness. (Dr.'s orders  were to stay flat in bed. That is about all I could really do). Perhaps in 10 years I can clear the  calendar of all accidents and surgeries! I'm proud to say that I'm a part of the class of '80. WHOOT!!!!!!

Wow! I just took a look at the pictures and I'm sooooo envious of all the fun you had! I'm sorry not to have been able to make it out, but we had a minor crisis in our business in Berlin and I just couldn't get away. So sad...

To all the former debators, I hail you and still think of you as friends and colleagues.

To all the wonderfully nice people I knew at Timpview, thanks for the memories and thanks for putting up with me then--I hope I was a better person for having known you.

To all the organizers and helpers, please, please PLEASE don't forget to do this again. Maybe things will have settled down in my life by then and I can make it out. :-)

And finally, you ALL look so GREAT! Who'd have thought the years would have been so kind? It must come from all that good, clean living... hehehe

I'll post a little update about my intervening life soon, and why my name seemed to change so radically (yes, at least part of it was to hide from my past <grin>). Look me up on facebook if you've a mind--I'll be honored to be part of your "friends list."

Signed,

Noel L. Stanford Oveson

I have sad news.  Cindy Asay, passed away earlier this month.  I don't know the details of her death, but I heard about her death, through her brother Barry (class of 1982).  Cindy was a fantastic lady, who was kind to everyone who knew her.  I don't have information on an obituary, but Barry mentioned in a facebook post that there would be a Memorial for Cindy on July 15.  I'll post details, when I hear them.

Recently, Curt Porritt (class of 1979) also passed away.  He was a dear friend of mine,  Cindy lived about four houses down from me on the same street, and Curt lived two blocks up the same street. It is sad to say goodbye to both of these gentle souls.  I love them both.
