Wow. Lets see.... I went straight to BYU from Timpview, got my degree and started teaching school. My years and years of waiting around for Rick Mecham to be ready to settle down paid off and we were married in 1986! We lived in Sandy for a few years, but have lived in the same house in Draper since 1994, and we love it here! I teach kindergarten at the school two blocks from our house (Paul and Shelly's daughter teaches at my school, which makes me feel pretty old!) Rick is the controller for Hunter Douglas Intermountain in Salt Lake.
We had our three kids right in a little bunch. Mckell was born in 1990 and was followed closely by twins Landon and Lexi. Mckell is now 20 and a Jr. at BYU. She is just getting ready to leave to go to Europe on a semester abroad. Landon and Lexi are 18, and they are graduating this year from Alta. Landon is going down to SUU for a year before his mission and Lexi is following Mckell to BYU. Rick and I are going to have to figure out what to do with ourselves next year in an empty house! I'm sure they won't be gone for good though!
Right now we keep pretty busy with work and church callings and trying to keep up with our kids. We have always loved to travel and hope to be able to continue to do that!
We aren't sure yet if we'll be able to be to the reunion because we may be on pioneer trek that night, but I hope we can come!
