Charles Lee Garner age 69, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Mesquite, NV. He was born on June 18, 1955, in Burley, ID to Charles LeRoy Garner and Gladys Cora Campbell Garner. He married Joyce Rae Buller in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1977. Prior to retiring Charlie owned and operated Garner Construction and Excavation. They split their time living between Orem and Mesquite for the last eight years.
Charlie loved and appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and loved camping, scouting, and traveling to discover new places. He enjoyed spending time on the water: boating, riding wave runners, water skiing, and scuba diving. He had a variety of interests from hounding rocks, woodworking, and building beautiful live edge furniture to working on classic cars. He always loved to be active and since living in Mesquite he has enjoyed playing pickleball and riding the side-by-side. Charlie and Joyce loved to go on cruises and recently traveled on an amazing transcontinental cruise to Australia and South Pacific territories. Above all, Charlie loved His Heavenly Father and His Savior Jesus Christ and served them to the last day. He fulfilled church callings, missions and served his family, friends, and strangers with great love and devotion.
Charlie is survived by his wife Joyce Garner; five children: Camille Garner, Jessica (Devan) Tea, Candace Garner (Austin Thompson), CJ (Samantha) Garner, Alina (Andy) Smith; eight grandchildren: Victoria, Braiden, Olivia, Margot, Chip, Rex, Daniel, Sophia; four sisters: Barbara (Larry) Garratt, Janice (Tyrell) Tanner, Louise Ward, Suzanne (Bob) Canaan; and two brothers: Don (Cheri) Garner and Paul (Elsie) Garner.
