Kay Lynn Garfield (62) returned to Heavenly Father due to a car accident, on 10 March 2017. She was born on 15 February 1955 in Panguitch, Utah, to Rudger and Velora Schurtz. She was the youngest of 5 children. She married Daniel Garfield on 9 March 1973.

They were sealed together in the Provo LDS Temple on 9 March 1974. They had 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Kay attended Grandview Elementary school, Dixon Junior High School and Provo High school. Kay loved to sing, she sang in the Provo High Acapella choir, other groups and at church. Kay had a big heart and loved everyone.

She has many unofficial children and family members. All loved her and we knew we were loved by her.

Kay was born and raised in the LDS church and had served in many callings, even with her health issues, she did her callings to the best of her ability.

Kay loved being a part of the local Las Vegas Renaissance reenactment group. She spent countless hours making outfits for many people in their group. She was very creative and talented. She loved doing all kinds of crafts and learning new ones to teach to people and also gave away many projects.
 

Kay is survived by her husband Dan, her 3 sons Jeramy, Duane and Jae, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 siblings Duane, Barbara and Dennis and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her parents Rudger and Velora Schurtz and her oldest brother Sherrel Schurtz.
