Warren Lloyd Walch

Warren Lloyd Walch, 54, passed away peacefully on the third of September 2009, following complications from surgery on a fractured leg.

Warren was born on December 8, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar W. and Bernice K. Walch. He graduated from Provo High School, Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and Webster University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration.

After graduating from BYU, he worked for Exxon Oil in Denver, Colorado. He also worked in Provo, Utah for a short time before coming to the Department of Defense Contract Audit Agency, where he worked in the offices at Los Angeles and San Diego before being transferred to their office at Edwards Air Force Base.

He married the love of his life, Veronica Showing, on May 7, 2004. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Laia Hawaiian Latter Day Saints Temple. They had resided in Rosamond, California until moving to Tehachapi.

Warren is survived by his loving wife, Dr. Veronica S. Walch of Tehachapi; his parents, Oscar W. and Bernice K. Walch; brother, Bernell W. Walch, all of Provo, Utah; sister, Tana Walch Hunter of Rexburg, Idaho; sister, Zina Walch Johnson, of Provo, Utah and sister, Anita Walch Allen of Highland, Utah.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2009, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 Anita Drive, Tehachapi. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 2200 East 18th St., Antioch, California at 11:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to 840 Tucker Road, Tehachapi, CA 93561. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Perpetual Education Fund online at www.ldsphilathropies.org.
