
Jimmy Hamby, 53, of Quanah, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at a local hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in The Quanah Church of Christ with David McSpadden of Burkburnett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah.
Hamby was born Oct. 11, 1949, in Paducah, a son of Clarence and Margareet (Tyler) Hamby. He was a longtime resident of Quanah and a graduate of Quanah High School. He was a former bookkeeper at Farmer's Co-op and was previously employed by Glen Quisenberry Trucking.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Judy Neill of Amarillo; two brothers, Harvey Hamby and Joe Hamby, both of Quanah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
