Eddie Fred Harmon, 55, of Quanah, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Quanah.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 17, in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Bobby Spangler, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church of Quanah, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Quanah, a son of Freddie F. Harmon and the late Opal Marsh Harmon. He was a lifelong resident of Quanah and a Baptist. He was a 1969 graduate of Quanah High School. He was a former supervisor for North Texas State Hospital Vernon Campus.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melody Harmon. Survivors include two daughters, Lori Harmon of Sachse and Michelle Harmon of Quanah; two sons, Cody Harmon of Quanah and Guy Harmon of Japan; his father, of Quanah; and grandmother, Della Patton of Graham; two sisters, Lesa Gayle Marrier of Anna and Rose Ellen Risinger of Quanah; a brother, Dannie Harmon of Herford; and three grandchildren.
