Gary Dan Stermer, died Wednesday morning, May 30th, 2018. 

Gary was born on June 21, 1951, to Cotton and Zemena (Hopkins) Stermer, in Quanah, Texas. He remained a lifelong resident of Quanah, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Gary was a teacher’s aide and elementary coach at Chillicothe schools.

He is survived by his sister, Camille Baird and husband, Jerry, of Chillicothe; 3 nephews: Eric Knowles of Vernon, Jerrod Baird of Chillicothe, and Seth Baird of Chillicothe; 7 great nieces and nephews: Jake, Ryan, R.J., Kynlie, Emma, Leo, and Endie.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at Quanah Memorial Park, with Rev. Wallace Clay officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah.
