Today we met for a nice Christmas Gathering at Paula's house in Rockland.  It was decorated beautifully, welcoming us all.  We had lots of conversations going on at the same time, wonderful appetizers, Chinese Food, delicious desserts, and a White Elephant Yankee Swap.  It was so nice to be together.  Thank you Paula for opening up your home to all of us.

Hi Ya'll It has been a while, but I am still kicking. Actually now I can kick with my new knee.Plus now that I had my recent back surgery where I got four screws a plate and some shims I can actually walk again.. i still have my hockey skates, and there is a rink about three miles from our house here in Bradenton, so I may attempt to lace these bad boys up again. But then in the back of my mind this Humpty Dumpty story says ....don't do it,dont do it. So I need another week or two at the gym and it will be like I'm 15 all over again. I said "like" not the reality that sets in with that old age pain. If I fell on those skates I would look like a fresh caught fish on the boat deck flopping all over the place. Not a cool picture.

On our way north to Ga.we stopped at Buckees for gas..$2.15 a gallon "for real"! Hell at those prices I knew DT had to be there somewhere, but nope..not happening. I need to be careful so I whispered that price Shhh.

Great pictures of everyone, you guys and gals all look like you just graduated yesterday. Well thats it from the Tee Man. All this cold weather sure makes you appreciate life in Florida. Plus they just finished refurbushing the golf course in my back yard. I dont play golf myself and judging from all those splashes in the pond, I'm not alone. The gators [2] are wearing helmets now. I am losing weight as well, I took Tom's advice and wear my Zorro outfit every day. Black does make you look so much thinner.

Hey guys stay healthy and safe, have a blessed Chrismas and holiday season. Have an incredible new year and stay on top of those boosters. We up to 8 or so now? Hey if we could survive the water between the two yaught clubs, we be OK. Stay safe.

Jerry T

Throw back Wednesday, it is Wednesday, isn't it?
So these three happy campers grew up right next to one another, some of Quincy Grammar School's finest .

If you don't recognize these classmates let me help: On the left is my best of best buddies, William Kevin Flynn who sadly left us way too young; a tremendous loss for me.  Next to Kevin is the sweetest girl on the block, Patrica Grant, who lived across from me on Walker Street. Pat was probably my first crush...she was smart enough to pay no attention to my foolishness.  Next to Pat is yours truly , back when I had hair. Don't we all look thrilled? Unlike today, we didn't pose for many pictures...one and done.

Looking  back, I had a most wonderful childhood, surrounded by such delightful individuals. You know: hide & seek, cathching fireflies and lots of other unorganized activities us kids played back then. Shout-out to others in our little hood by the likes of the Billings Street gang: Joan Welch, Sheila Trainor and Brooks Maloof and Jeannie Meyers from Clive Street.  Probably more, but the names escape me. Stay well my classmates and Happy Holidays!    Don

Hey Don, I knew all those cute faces from Walker and Billings Street too!  I lived on Billings and East Squantum St.

Pat was my best buddy and we, including you and Bill occassionally, walked to NQHS together each morning. You were always smiling! Pat and I have stayed in close touch all these years. She on the east coast and I on the west. Loved the throw back photos and thanks for posting them...fun memories.  Hope you and family are doing well.

Linda

Don, dear friend, this picture and your wonderful message has brought back so many childhood memories of good friends and happy times.  And of course, being Christmas, this is one i always remember.  I found out in later years that i had brought tears to my mother's eyes one Christmas when we were very llittle, because i wanted pearl handled cap guns, holsters and a cowboy hat to match your and Kevin's gear!  She was hoping i might have wanted a doll :)  Santa delivered, and we had many a shoot out at the OK corral!  Wishing you and all a very blessed and Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas (politiidally uncorrect, I know but in Key West we are all politically uncorrect, or something like that) and Happy Holidays, Hanukkah and all the others I've missed. Sunny and gonna be 80 this afternoon. And you ask why I live here! Hurricans going North, how much more perfect could life be?

All be well and have an enjoyable 2022!

Mike I think that your for the most part safe with respect to politics. Today we are learning that politics for the lack of a better word is non-denominational. If it keeps on the way it is going our two parties will be Rulers and Slaves. Hows your Mandarin?

Glad you're on the mend, Jerry.

Tom thanks for the great pictures.  It's great so many of you are still getting together.

And, Don, where ever did you come up with that picture.  Thanks for sharing and giving everyone great memories.  Especially now, we all need to think back to happy, cherised childhood memories.

Our winter home in Ruskin, Fl, is a place I never heard of until friends from Plymouth introduced us to it, and along with them, bought a house here.  I'm guessing most of you haven't heard of it either, except for Tee, who used to fish nearby with his brother.,  Most people assume we're in places like Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Meyers or Naples.

Anyway, the first week we were here, we went down to the restaurant/bar in our community.  A woman sitting nearby overheard our conversation talking about Quincy.  She asked me if I went to North, and we both broke into the "On for North Quincy" song.  She said she grew up on or near your street, Don, and that she had a "wicked" crush on you.  I don't remember her maiden name, but her name is Jan.  Thnk she was a year younger than us.  Smalll world!

Happy New Year!

Phyllis at this age everyday is somewhat of a medical challenge to some degree. I could barely walk for a year. But luckily I had an awesome Doctor here in Sarasota. He sliced and diced for three ours and I'm as good as new, now I can walk my dog down the side walk like one slitely overweight but happy elf, smiling from ear to ear. I don't even fall on my ... anymore. Trust me the sciatic plays a big part in walking.

My wife and I love it here in River Strand. It has a great club, 27 holes of golf, tennis and pickel ball court, and two awesome Gyms, Its close to everything. Naples is just and hour and a half south and Tampa is an hour North. The fishing is great also. Its just these Noseeums and they just love me. So I dress accordingly...like an Eskimo. How is your grandson doing, he must be out now, of the service. You take care and have a safe New Year. Jerry/Tee

Hi Jerry,  I'm so glad that surgery went well.  I am familiar with that area in Florida as my father in law lived in Bradenton in a 55 in over park called Colony Cove but that was many years ago.  We use to visit every year and I remember taking a trip to Naples while I was there, beautiul area too.  I like the Sarasota area and my daughter wants to retire down there at some point but seems to like Ft. Myers which I am not to crazy about.  She has 31 years in with State Street so that is her plan at some point.  My younger grandson has 2 more years in high school so she has to wait.  My older grandson, who is 22, got out of the Marines in July.  That 4 years went by fast I have to say and he is learning to be an electrician.  He is working with a company now and hopes to get into the electrical union.  He has a goal and I am so proud of him.  Thank You for asking about him, good memory you have.  I got my booster vaccine yesterday so I feel kinda bla today but not to bad.  You take care and enjoy that nice weather down there and Happy Healthy New Year....Phyl
