Tried going to UNB for 3 years... didn't work out. Took a couple of night classes at NBCC-SJ in '94 before attending Full-Time in '94-'96. Got a diploma in Computer Programming Technologist. Tried working for a sub-company of NBTel (NBTel interActive), but that only lasted a year. Son was born May 1998 while I was work as Reservist at CFB Gagetown. Decided to get married (July 1998) and join the Regular Forces (Dec 1990).
I was posted to Kingston, Ont. in Jan 1999, to take my Land Communications and Information Systems Technician course. After the course, in Apr 2000, I was posted to 2 CMBG HQ and Sigs at CFB Petawawa. My daughter was born July 2000 before I did a tour in Bosnia with 3RCR on Op Palladium, Roto 8 from End March to End Sept 2001 (I was in Bosnia on 9/11). Moved units on base to 2 ASG Sigs Squadron when I ended up in Afghanistan for 6 weeks (Sept - Oct 2003). After my return, I took a year long French Language course (where I learned and remembered more that late emmersion at Harry Miller and KV!!)
That got me posted back to CFB Kingston, where I have been since. My first job was as an instructor at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electrons (I loved teaching for 4 years) and now my current position as a Sargent in another unit.
