Mamie Lou Matheson Conder, a resident of Irving, TX since 1948 passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010. She was born November 24, 1928 in Quitman, TX, and she graduated from Quitman High School. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Oakview Baptist Church in Irving, TX with Dr. Jim Gerlach and Wallace Philpot officiating. Music was provided by Jon & Permelia Matheson. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
Mamie was a member of Oakview Baptist Church in Irving for 57 years, and she loved her bible study class there. She loved singing, fishing, gardening and canning, and she especially loved her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Monroe Pinckney Matheson and Euela Ellison Matheson Roberts; brothers: Howard Matheson, Ron Matheson and Don Matheson; and sister: Wilma Low Bagby.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Will Morgan Conder; daughters: Joan McCorkle and husband Myron of Winnsboro, TX, Gail Wells and husband Jim of Irving, TX, Marcia Gaither and husband Ronny of Irving, TX and Nancy Parker and husband George of Gunter, TX; son: Morgan Brent Conder and wife Bonnie of Irving, TX; brother: Jon Dee Matheson; sisters: Virgie Collins, Dena Woodard, Evelyn Browning, Corinne Tinney and Theresa Harbuck; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
