Funeral services for Mrs. Ommie Lee Gilbreath, 84, of Whitehouse, Tx is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Gage officiating.  She will be laid to rest following the service at Rock Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Ommie Lee Gilbreath was born January 6, 1935 in Quitman to J. and Roxie Marie (Poe) Meredith.  She was a Whitehouse resident for 13 years, and lived at the Villages in Florida for 5 years prior.  Lee was a traveler and lived many places.  Upon graduating from Quitman High School, she met and married Gary Marvin Gilbreath, and the two moved to Kilgore, Palestine, New Orleans, upon retirement bought an RV and traveled the United States for 13 years.  She visited almost every state and traveled overseas.  Mr. Gilbreath passed away in 2004, but if he was still here, the two would still be traveling. Lee retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad and also owned a business making Sir Turtle rum bottles that are sold in the Cayman Islands.

Lee loved jewelry, making jewelry, and shopping.  She also enjoyed music and reading.  At one point, her husband joked that she was weighing down their RV with all of the books she had.  She was  a member of Lane’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Tyler ,Tx for over 30 years.

Ommie Lee Gilbreath passed away Wednesday morning, July 17, 2019 in Tyler ,Tx.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Gilbreath; daughter, Renah Gilbreath; son, Randy Gilbreath; brother, John Earl Meredith; and her beloved dog, Missy.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Leia Rachelle Oller and her husband Jesse Oller of Whitehouse; brother, Scott Meredith and wife Norika of Magnolia; four grandchildren, Christopher Allen Pollan, Brittney Renah Pollan, Lynette Marie Davis, and Robert Jesse Oller; ten great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cammy, Cameron, Christian, Baylee, Ray Allen, Kurgan, Kammie, Meagan, Raymond, Ryan and Donovan and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Meredith, Wade Davis, Chris Pollan, Cody Meredith, Clay Meredith and Kurgan Oller.
