Charles Edmond Low

( March 17, 1939 - March 31, 2019 )

Funeral service for Charles Low, 80, of Quitman, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home with Brother Fred Morrow officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Charles Edmond Low was born March 17, 1939 in Wood County to Calvin and Norma (Ussery) Low.

Charles served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He was a Marksman with 144th Infantry and a Tank Mechanic.  He lived most of his life in Wood County and attended Wood County Cowboy Church. He worked at Wood County Electric Company, later built houses, then worked at a print shop, and later worked as the maintenance supervisor for Quitman Independent School District for 15 years. After retiring from QISD, he went on to work for the Wood County Special Education School doing maintenance.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Norma Low.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 19 years, Dinah Low of Quitman; son, Charles R Low and wife Kim; two grandchildren, David Low and Timothy Low; three great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Gray, Tristen Dunn, Neil Croney, David Low, Reggie Low, and Timothy Low.
