Ganelle Moore

JANUARY 27, 1940 ~ OCTOBER 4, 2019 (AGE 79)

Ganelle Moore, 79, beloved wife, sister and friend of Quitman passed away on October 4, 2019, in Garland, TX. Services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019, at Forest Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00am and funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be at Quitman City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Rushing, Bobby Rushing, Jay Murdock, Wes Melvin, J.B. Littlejohn and Gavin Taylor.
On January 27, 1940, Gay was Born in Quitman, TX, to Artemus and Haskie (Sutton) Rushing. She was a lifelong member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Gay began her 50 year career as a telephone operator for GTE in Quitman and retired from People’s Telephone in 2006. 
Gay was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2001, parents Artemus and Haskie Rushing; brother Curtis Rushing; sisters Jackie Melvin and Barbara Clark. 
Survivors include her Brother Billy and wife Shirley Rushing of Quitman, sister Glenda and husband Wayne McElyea of Garland, numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
