LaNell Goolsby - Class Of 1964

La Nell Goolsby of Tyler, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, and went to meet her Savior.  A service in her honor will be held Monday, February 6, 2017, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens cemetery, Mineola, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Fred Morrow and Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.   Honorary pallbearers are Leo Goolsby, J.D. Goolsby and Antonio Munoz.

La Nell was a beloved daughter, sister and friend.  She was born in Quitman, Texas on February 9, 1946.

La Nell attended Quitman schools and graduated with honors.  After attending Tyler Business College, she began her bookkeeping career at Lake Ronel Oil Company in 1966.  She remained there until her retirement in 2013.  In her years at LROC, La Nell formed lifelong friendships while also maintaining close family ties.

La Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Jim David Goolsby and Lavell Massingill Goolsby and two brothers-in-laws, Dr. Wayne White and Ben Berry.  She is survived by brothers Leo and his wife Martinette Goolsby, of Lubbock, TX and J. D. and his wife Judy Goolsby, of Mission, TX; sisters Lavon White of Tyler, TX and Linda Berry of Ladonia, TX and many nieces and nephews.  La Nell is also survived by very close and dear friends.  Micah Free Munoz and her husband Antonio Munoz.

La Nell was a gentle soul who will be forever missed.
