Dearest Carmen,

I am so sorry to hear of your sister, Alana.  I constantly have memory flashbacks of the many Sunday afternoons after church I spent with your beautiful family.  The four of us played in the yard and ran between your house and Jan's next door.  Alana was always so very up-beat, kind, and generous.  I loved her dearly. She was a precious friend.

I remember your Mother's kindness to me and her presence at the dinners the church prepared for our famly when both my Mother and Father passed away.  Always a smile on her face and love in her heart.  I also remember one afternoon at the lake when Alana and I almost ate one of your Mom's pound cakes all by ourselves. Your and all of your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

May the Peace and quietness of our Holy Father's strength and presence be in your heart and minds today and forever.

In His Most Holy Name,

Mary-Margaret Shoaf
