Visitation for Betty will be on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman. Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas with Brother Mike Midkiff officiating. Betty Lou Fergason was born in Mineola, Texas to J.R. and Euna Vee (Baker) Amason on November 15, 1947. On June 17, 1966 she married Forest Fergason in Quitman, Texas. They were longtime residents of Quitman, Texas where she took care of the family home, bookkeeping for the family business, and retired from UT Health in Tyler as an admissions clerk. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Quitman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Forest Fergason in 2013 and great- granddaughter, Gracelyn. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kay Amason of Mineola; daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Scott Wheeler of Quitman; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Willie Walls of Quitman; grandchildren, Christin Wheeler Henderson, Kyle Wheeler and wife Nikki, Kale Holland, and Madison Holland; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Kayleigh, CamBria, Haidyn, Timberlyn, Remington, KyLeAnn, and Willa Kate; as well as many additional relatives and a host of friends
