James Mitchell - Class Of 1980 VIEW PROFILE

One of my best friends in high school! Pug was great friend I became friends with in 7th grade. We had something in common, we liked to fish, hunt, and liked music. We started off listening to music like KISS and completely made 180 degree turn to loving Willie and Waylon. Our other friend Thomas Adkins, ran right along with us. I will admit that Thomas and Pug were more musically talented than I. We did play a few gigs while in high school, with Thomas playing guitar and Pug playing bass. I putted around on drums, but they just were the talent. We had great times together. Miss'em alot!

What can I say ?  Ya'll was THE band at my 16th birthday party !  I still have the pictures and Steve VanDusen is on the drums,  Clay Slack is standing behind a piano, and Pug is in the picture with a guitar... he sort of looks  like a  rock star !   lol    My sister, who was a substitute teacher for awhile, adored Pug, as a Quitman student.  I think she saw a little of herself in Pug. When she told me about Pug my heart went out to his family ~ I know he is in heaven.

My first real boyfriend.  Lots and lots of memories with Pug, Thomas and Gina.  We had some awesome times together running the roads, listening to Willie and Wayland (and running into cows)......poor Pug's car!  I remember feeling sorry for the black cow while Pug was kicking it!  Yes, he was very talented when it came to music.  Pug also had a wonderful family!  I miss him deeply....and wil see him again someday!
