Cecil Clanton - Class Of 1963

Cecil Wayne Clanton passed away Saturday afternoon (May 27), much too soon.  He had a stroke several months ago and had been in ill health for the past few weeks.  Our prayers go out to his wife and children.  He will be missed.

Memorial service for Cecil “Wayne” Clanton, 72, of Casper, WY, will be held at 11:00 AM, June 24, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home with Roger Clanton officiating.

Wayne passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice, Casper, WY from complications after a stroke.

Wayne was born in Wood County, Texas and raised in the Quitman area. His parents are Chappel W and Evangeline (Phillips) Clanton. Wayne graduated from Quitman High School. Afterward, he attended Junior College in Tyler. In August of 1965, Wayne enlisted in the Air Force and volunteered to serve in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Wayne loved the Lord. He spent his days studying scripture and sharing his faith.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Chappel W. Clanton.

Surviving family members include his wife of 33 years, Ginny Clanton of Casper, WY; children, Chris Broom and wife Theresa of Orlando, FL, Daniel C. Clanton and wife Brooke of Denver, CO, David B. Clanton of Huntington Beach, CA, Misha R. Timmer and husband Jonathan of Dallas, TX; stepson, Danny M. Nelson of Houston, TX; his mother, Evangeline Rasmussen of Eureka, MO; brother, Roger Clanton of Fenton, MO; and six grandchildren.
