Roger Lydell McGill

Roger Lydell McGill, age 45 of Quitman, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2023, at his home in Quitman.

He was born on November 25, 1977, to the late Doretha McGill Criner and Roger Lee McGill.  He was preceded in death by his mother Doretha McGill Criner.

Survivors include his dad Roger Lee McGill, brother Glen Lee McGill, sister Debra Kay Peoples and spouse Jere Merritt, two nephews, Wade Peoples, Jr., and Cody Lee McGill, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Becky Roberts, Roger’s caretaker, for taking such good care of him and meeting his needs.

A Memorial Service will be held for Roger Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 3:00pm at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home.
