CLARENCE RONALD "SMOKEY" MATHESON, SR.

Services for Clarence Ronald "Smokey" Matheson, Sr., 66, West Monroe, LA were held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 18, 1989 at Kilpatrick's Funeral Home Chapel of West Monroe with Rev. James White and Clovis Sturdivant officiating.  Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery with Masonic rites.

Mr. Matheson died Sunday, January 15, 1989 at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Matheson was a native of Quitman, TX.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired from the Asbestos Workers Local 21 of Dallas, TX and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  He was a mason and member of the Barach Shrine Temple of Monroe, LA.

Survivors include his wife: Dorothy Faye "Jean" Matheson; sons: Clarence Ronald Matheson, Jr., Monroe, LA; Ronnie Loyd Matheson and Lonnie Boyd Matheson, West Monroe, LA; daughters:  Belinda Joyce Tucker, Monroe, LA; Ginger Roxanne Baxter and Carmen D'Ann Matheson, West Monroe, LA; brothers: P. D. Matheson, Quitman, TX and Jon D. Matheson, Anahuac, TX; sisters:  Virgie Collins, Cedar Hill, TX; Wilma Low and Theresa Harbuck, Quitman, TX; Dena Woodard and Corinne Tinney, Winnsboro, TX; Evelyn Browning, Dallas, TX and Mamie Conder, Irving, TX; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Whitey White, Ken Holifield, Ralph Owens, Ricky Rowe, Earl Sturdivant and John Dugger.
