Obituary for Mr. William "Bill" Crofford

Graveside services for Mr. William Arnold “Bill” Crofford, 68 of Balch Springs, Texas were held at  2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Hopewell Cemetery in Wood County, Texas.  Services were under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Crofford passed away January 3, 2014 at his home in Balch Springs.

Mr. William Arnold “Bill” Crofford was born February 14, 1945 in Texarkana, Texas.  Bill was one of five children born to the marriage of John Beverly and Alma Monteen Crofford.  He was raised in Maude and Quitman and attended Quitman schools.  Bill loved to be in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Arnold Lee Crofford.
Bill is survived by a son, Darren Crofford and wife Melissa of Winnsboro; granddaughter, Bailey Crofford of Winnsboro; siblings, Nevilledeen Crofford Smith and husband Travis of Jefferson, John Preston Crofford and wife Billie Mae of Celeste, Jerribeth Crofford Dunlap of Russellville, AR, Beverly Lee Crofford and wife Shirley of Springfield, AR; nephews and nieces, Bradford Smith, David Crofford and wife Donna June, Brian Smith and wife Kelly, Donna Lynn Crofford, Brandon Smith, Jon David Dunlap and wife Amy, Kerry Crofford and wife Sharla, Kelly Hurt and husband Brian, Keith Crofford and wife Brittney; other relatives and friends
