If you knew me very well, you probably knew that there wasn't a whole lot that I liked about Horlick or Racine for that matter. My family moved here right before our sophomore year. So, I spent most of my time either talking about, thinking about or practically counting down until I could move back to Kansas(which I did the day after graduation). I guess, in all honesty, I never gave Horlick a chance.
I lived in Kansas for 4 1/2 years, where I tried full time college, but had a really hard time succeeding. I took a break and moved home for a total of 9 months so I could get back on my feet. Believe me 9 months was 9 months too long when I had been on my own for so long.
I decided to take a leap of faith and moved to St. Louis where I knew nobody. I took a nanny job there and was very pleased to find my niche. I worked for one family for nearly eight years, practically raising their kids. It was then that I finally went back to school and finished up what I had started. I graduated in the summer of 2001 with a degree in psychology.
In the summer of 2000 I got my first computer and decided to have a go at the online dating thing, since I wasn't having any luck the traditional way. This is how I met my husband Craig when he responded to my personal ad. We were married in the summer of 2003.
Since then we have had three beautiful daughters and have moved to the Louisville area where he works for a telecommunications company. I am very happy to be at home with my girls.
I plan to get my teaching certificate when I get them all in school.
