I've been living in Arizona on and off for about 30 years and love it. It's the only place you can be in the snow at noon and in the dessert in 70 degrees at 2. I spend most of my time in Sun City West which is a 55+ community with tons of things to do. I've finally retired, June of 2011 and loving it. I also have a home in the mountains where I spend week-ends in the summer. It's 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix - everyone keeps telling me it's a dry heat! Yeah, right! Hot is hot! I was Procurement Program Manager for Honeywell Aerospace Research and Development, which was extremely exciting and highly stressful. So, retirement is great! The whole family is still in Wisconsin, so I usually made my trip back twice a year at May/June and at Christmas time when I was working. Now I drive back in the summer time, when it's hotter then "you know what" down here to visit for 4-6 weeks. I have 6 children, 13 grandchildren and too many, to mention, great-grand children, which is still hard to imagine. I have one natural son and raised the additional 2 boys and three girls. I don't feel that old usually! I've been single for almost 20 years and enjoy not having to be responsible for anyone. That could change if I ever meet Mr. Right. In my spare time I play golf, read, watch movies and spend time with friends.
