Dale L. Johnson – Radcliff, KY – Formerly of Racine; Passed away at his residence on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the age of 31, after a three-year battle with cancer. Dale was born in Racine on April 25, 1960, and lived here most of his life. While in Racine, he was employed by Sears, Racine Commercial Airport, and Elmwood Bank. He joined ROTC while attending college at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and accepted an active duty tour with the U.S. Army. During his military career he was stations in Oklahoma, Germany, and most recently, Fort Knox, KY. He achieved the rank of captain before his illness forced his retirement. On November 14, 1981, in St. John’s Nepomuk Church, he was united in marriage to the former Nikki C. Frederiksen who survives him; along with their daughter, Michelle Nicole Johnson; two sons, Timothy James, and Christopher Nils Johnson; parents, Orville and Donna Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Tomas Bodi, all of Racine; brother, Russell Johnson of New York, N.Y.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gil and Dorothy Frederiksen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Debbie Frederiksen, all of Racine, Timothy and Jeanie Frederiksen of Eau Claire, Wis., Christina and Jeffery Musser of Oak Creek, and Judy Frederiksen of Racine. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be on Wednesday, Jan. 29, in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Savage officiating. Burial will follow in the veteran’s section of West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials be directed toward the Hospice Program.
