Because I only attended Park for 12th grade I didn't meet Tamara until UWR.  We had Geography class together.  We both moved to Madison during a time of turmoil and saw each other at various demonstrations, also at parties.  Toward the end of that time T. made my wedding dress, spent a long evening and night sewing.  A year later I lived in Tacoma, Wa and spent a week visiting T in Spokane where she was a VISTA volunteer.  She visited me a year later in San Francisco.  Back in the mid-west, I saw T several times in Milwaukee and attended several of the large Health Fairs she organized.  She visited me in Madison.  Once we took a week long camping trip to the north woods of Wisconsin.  In 1980 I moved to Chicago.  In those pre-cell phone/ social media days, we lost touch.  Over the years I thought about her and wondered what she was doing.  i was sad to hear that she died.
