Rusty Schumacher passed away unexpectedly on Oct 23, 2009

Had just reconnected in Feb 2009 on classmates.com. One never knows when you'll be called home. Rusty was a live wire. I hope God has a special job for him in Heaven - he needs to be kept busy.

Russell T. Schumacher, 54, died Friday, October 23, 2009. He was born in Saginaw County, MI, the son of George and Bonnie (Eighmy) Schumacher. Russ was a devoted father, loving son and generous friend. His kind heart and good nature touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He loved spending his free time fishing at the beach with his sons, Adam and Kyle. Russ was employed by Sunstates Security as the site manager of the Bank of America building in downtown Raleigh. Survivors include his parents of Oldsmar, FL; two sons, Adam C. Schumacher and wife Kristin of Raleigh and Kyle L. Schumacher of Greensboro; and brother Randall C. Schumacher of Raleigh. A celebration of Russ’s life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the Wynne Center at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s Street, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. The family request contributions in Russ’s memory be sent to Healing Place of Wake County, 1251 Goode Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
