Donna Lynn Benton

Obituary - Donna passed away with her husband by her side on February 23, 2022 from Early Onset Dementia. She was a loving and loyal wife, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to many. Growing up in Raleigh, NC she graduated from Millbrook High School and NC State University. With a degree in accounting, she was employed by the EPA, the State of North Carolina (Raleigh) and Education Management Systems (Wilmington) during her career.

Carolina Beach became Donna’s home when she married her love, Don. They shared a love for sailing and their adventures took them to the Bahamas several times. She enjoyed her coastal life where she created her home and served as a Deacon in her church.

She is survived by her husband Donald Benton, sister Debbie Bergold (Alan), nephew Justin Lisk (Ashlyn) and great nephew Beckett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Ray Strickland.
