Betty Gaither (Halter)
I have known Betty Ruth since Second Grade.
My mom was our Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.
I would help with the Class Reunions sometimes.
l would stay at her home to go to the Class Reunions.
In Sunday we would go to the Hayes Barton Church Service.
Betty Ruth will truly be missed!

So sorry to hear about Betty Ruth's passing---she was a friend from elementary school on to graduation, and beyond. I especially remember a sixth grade project we did. A few years ago she gave me some very good advice about some farmland I owned in Granville County---she knew Granville County well.
Always positive and helpful---she will be greatly missed. --- John Shelburne

Betty befriended me when I moved to Raleigh and to Daniels Junior High School in the eighth grade, which was my third school that year, so I was happy to make as many new friends as possible! We remained friends through high school at Broughton and I felt that she was a very cohesive part of our class during the many years of being an alumni. As the others have said, she will be missed.
