I remember seeing Lee in the halls of Broughton but I did not know him. At the last reunion I spoke to him and he looked at my name tag and face and said, "I'm sorry, I have no memory whatsoever of you." He smiled as he said it and I told him that it was perfectly all right. Lee told me, "I'll tell you what, though. I promise to remember you at the next reunion!" We both laughed and I was going to hold him to that. Rest In Peace, Lee. Wish you had gotten the chance to "remember me."

I went to Sherwood Bates, Daniels Middle School and Needham B. Broughton along with Lee, and always enjoyed his humor and disposition. We laughed at the last two NBHS reunions about my first year as a 5th grade student from Oklahoma, and the way he mimicked my Western accent when I moved East ... and my response to his teasing was to hide his Spelling Book under a file cabinet during recess! As silly as this memory is - it began a friendship that I valued highly. His memory will be respected always - My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and others who - like members of our class -- have been touched by his life.
