Jackie was a great person. She always had a smile and was friendly to everyone. I did not know she had passed away. So very sad to loose someone that young.
I first met Jackie in the fourth grade when our neighborhood was bussed out to Fuller Elementary School. She was funny, smart, athletic, kind and sweet. She could smile and laugh then make her face go blank like the best comedians, we would die laughing at her funny stagger lee walk. She was like one of the boys but cleaner....I went to her funeral. Natalie Dorsett sang beautifully. Her family was very appreciative of the kind words about their sister and daughter. i think of her often and often is a word i seldom use.
Jackie was not only my classmate, but we lived right next door to each other. We were very close friends.I am still in close contact with her family. I have missed her greatly and she is very much missed!!!! Her spirit will linger on! Love you, girl!
Jackie was a dear friend and had the most contagious laugh and a very unique style! My family bought band fruit from her for years after NBHS ~ she never changed ~ always the same ole' Jackie with the same hairstyle. I had not seen her for a few years, and one day on my way to OIB, my sister Melissa & I saw her on the ferry!! We hugged, laughed, talked of her cancer and just recounted so many fond memories. It was a real blessing to know & love her!
