Comments:

CAUTION: shameless commercial solicitation follows!

Now that those of us who were in meetings, once a week, if not daily, are retired and no longer in them… I have, in my retirement, published a book on…meetings.
“We’ve Got to STOP Meeting Like This” is the title. It’s on Amazon, paperback and Kindle. If you are continuing to identify places to enjoy your 70s for maximum fun and pleasure. This book is not one. On the other hand, if you feel sorry for me and my poorly timed foray, feel free to order it (free on Kindle) and please rate it.
Cheers!

===============================================
My hat's off to those who planned, organized and scheduled a quality and safe reunion for us:

Linwood Barrow, Gary Cyrus, Pat Ward, Debbie Harris, Norma Orrell Matthews and husband, Melvin; Walker and Janet Reagan. Thanks!

Special thanks to Linwood for making us aware when there has been a death of a class member.

School Story:

5th grade: Carlton Cable telling Miss Weeks to "go to Haiti!" then quickly showing her where it was on the map

At Aycock, Gene Watkins suddenly fainting from the next to the highest row in the risers during a choral performance

November afternoon in 6th grade: teacher, Mrs. Perry, returning to a spot just inside the classroom after being asked out in the hall by Mr. Jefferson and saying "Boys and girls, our President has been shot."

7th Mr. Carroll's English class: Michael Lilly's expressive and greatly entertaining presentations of his themes.

Mrs. Beamer's 11th grade(?) English class: my buddy David Sugg beginning a presentation to the class by singing the first line of Barbara Lewis's song: "Are You Ready?"...with no one in the class singing "yes, I'm ready" back.

12th grade: a Mrs. Wilson-directed chorus doing the medley: Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine and Vernel (?) stepping out and getting into it...
