Donna was a crackerjack piano player, with a brilliant mind and a big heart. Dear neighbor and Brownie Scout buddy, she once piloted a sled down my neighbor's convexly steep front yard -- a feat not ever attempted before -- and busted her lip at the bottom. I was 1) impressed by her daring, 2) doubly impressed that she didn't shed a tear. In that brave spirit, she faced pulmonary hypertension, which led to her death. Here's to your strong spirit, Donna!

Donna Lynn Crocker was one of the kindest, most intelligent and talented people I ever knew. We grew up together and were best friends at Ravenscroft school back in the 50's. May you rest in peace,Donna.

Donna also went to Seminary and became a wonderful chaplain, helping the souls of many people.  She was kind lady with a wonderful laugh.  I do not know which of us is at fault, but we frequently were reprimanded for talking in class - in spite of all that, we made it through Broughton.  RIP Donna.

She performed my mother's eulogy at the Hartsfield assisted living facility.  Donna died in October 2000.

Donna was one of my best friends from eighth grade, and we had many good times together. When she and husband Tom returned to Raleigh they lived near us, and we had a fun camping trip together. The idea of Donna camping will surprise you, but her husband was an avid camper and Donna was a good sport.  Tom supported her in her passion to study at the seminary, and to be ordained. She then returned to work at First Baptist Church.

She is remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Donna was a wonderfully sweet girl who was a family friend.  Her father, Bo, and my Dad were best friends and built a building together at the corner of West Morgan Street and Boylan Ave. where they housed their businesses.  Our families would socialize together, and we took winter trips to Florida together in the '50's. (Picture Donna and her parents and me, my brother, and our parents, all 7 of us, squeezed into a '53 Lincoln heading to Florida before there were interstate highways).  Donna married one of my Dad's technicians, Tom Toms (yes, that is his name).   I have very fond memories of our time together.
