RALEIGH -- Vickie Poole Harris, 54, of Raleigh, went to meet her heavenly Father, Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Rex Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. 

A native of Raleigh, she began work with First Citizens Bank in June 1967 as an entry level Data Clerk. She rose to the position of Vice President and Manager of Deposit Services. Loved and respected by many at the Bank, she will be always remembered as an exemplary role model for those that will follow after her. 

Vickie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Terry Harris Sr., her daughter, Toni Harris of Monroe; sons, Randy Harris of Jamestown and Terry Harris Jr. and daughter in-law Susan of Raleigh. 

She was loved and adored by her father Rufus B. Poole, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, a cherished sister, Bonnie Poole Johnson of Garner; and a brother, Bill Benton of Chattanooga, TN. 

Vickie was blessed with four grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Randy Jr. and Christopher. She was the devoted aunt to Michael Anthony Johnson and great nephew and Godson Deuce Johnson both of Garner. She was the aunt of Gina and Chrissy, great aunt to Brittany, Abby and Cody all of Chattanooga, TN. 

Mrs. Harris was predeceased in death by her mother Margaret Bailey James and her youngest grandson Tyler Burke Langdon. 

The family will be at 6424 Malibu Drive and visitation will be at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on St. Mary's Street in Raleigh on Friday, March 7, 2003 from 7 to 9 p.m. 

Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2003 with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh
