A few years ago, I was cooling it in the Marriott (now the Avani) Hotel's beautiful swimming pool in Pattaya, hanging onto the edge in the deep end, speaking with a white-haired English gentleman about this and that. We talked about the English Premier League, a bit of travel, some politics, our two countries, and pretty Thai ladies, et al....
After about an hour I got out of the pool and bid a pleasant 'cherrio' to my new friend. As I was making my way around the pool , an American friend pulled me aside and asked, 'What were you and Jimmy Page talking about?' 'Jimmy Page?' I replied. 'That was Jimmy Page?' Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin? My goodness! I left the Marriott that day humming Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven'.

After the burning and looting and all that spew of hate, maybe a bit of calmness. Maybe a little music is needed to set the mood and offer a sprig of hope and optimism. There was great music back then....
