Traveled early on and eventually opened a travel agency in Raleigh and
stayed with that for about 20 years until it became more of a conduit than a business for me......I'm currently based in Pattaya (Thailand) for most of the year, but split time in Phnom Penh.
Remember me as a shy, skinny kid who was terrified of Mrs. Fountain. :-)
Marsha Murray and I being chatter boxes in Mr. Bragg's biology class were both kept after school one afternoon. Our penalty was to sit still for an hour without saying a word (not even allowed to do our homework), and forced to hold back smirks and giggles. Mr. Bragg was one of my favorites, and so was Marsha.

A zipping fast ball blowing batters away. Dock really graced the baseball diamond at Jaycee Little League Park. With a powerful home run swing too! Remember looking over from third and seeing Dock's most loyal fan (his dad) stretched out along those concrete seats proudly watching that son of his.
Happy Birthday Billie Jeanne and thanks for the lift back from the reunion. :-)

Hey Judy, Susan, Barbara, et al.
Who is on the committee to keep up with our 'In Memory' posts? Could you forward this message to them? Thanks. :-) Jeff Brandon, Mike Dodd, Johnny Temple. et al.?
Also photos and coverage or our 55th reunion?
Hey Larry,
I really enjoyed seeing you at the reunion. You are very accomplished and interesting and draw many of our classmates around you. Hope to see you again in the not-so-distant future. Dan(ny)
Happy Birthday Jeff. It's been a long time since we were chatting together in Fayetteville before our freshman game against each other--of course you played for Duke and I played for State. Those were fun days.
Take care.

Besides being a terrific athlete, Mike was a good friend. No better catcher in little league baseball at the J.C. Park than Mike--He led Coca Cola to a number of championships. Remember his proud mom attending every game for that son of hers. Too young Mike, and so sad--we will miss you.
Hey Jack, and Happy Birthday. I remember back during our b.ball days when Chuck Anderson warned me about this hotshot from Daniels who was going to steal my thunder with his great outside shooting prowess. I couldn't believe that would be possible, but boy was I wrong--you could really bury those long ones. Hope you are doing great, and if you see Chuck, tell him he was so right--but I was a cocky disbeliever. :-)

Happy Birthday, Joe.
A little memory.... I had just driven up from Key Biscayne after my fraternity's spring break cruise on the Italian ship Flavia. It was Saturday night and the Greensboro roads were packed with ACC Tournament traffic. I was running late for the finals and parked my car and started walking across the busy boulevard without a ticket. Then, as cars sped by me a Cadilac pulled up to me and slowed to a stop--the window eased down and Joe's wonderful dad leaned over to me and said, "Hey Danny, get in." What a great night--we won the tournament, the one where Joe Cafferky broke the rules with a game-ending dunk (actually time had already expired). Mr. Gallagher took me over to the Albert PicK Hotel and Coach Sloan's room where a number of others were celebrating. I remember sitting with Coach and thanking him for keeping me around for four years as a walk-on. Our earlier separation had been abrupt and somewhat cold, but that night Coach reached out and was warm to me especially with the ACC tournament ment trophy on the TV counter in front of us. Mr. Gallagher had sensed the tension early on and smoothly brought us together again, this time without any acrimony. You could tell that Mr. Gallagher was well-respected by Coach Sloan and all the other Wolfpackers in the room. I remember thanking him for his thoughtfulness. Joe, too, was/is like that.... :-)
